HOLDING MY BABY!

Well, we did it. Kaidence was extubated today!!! I am so excited, I was able to hold her and I LOVED IT!!!! She is so beautiful and I love seeing her smile. She surprised us all when she wanted to sit up and play. It made me feel so good and I am so happy that we have made such a big step in the right direction.

We continue to wait for the results of the test. The stress that I feel is beyond being overwhelming. I think that I might have an ulcer or something going on. I wish that we would have had the results yesterday morning like we originally thought. However, I must say that everybody has been hounding the genetics doctor to get them fast. WE wait with faith and hope. I am not sure what will happen if the test comes back positive. I don't know that I want to think about it.

We went to parent teacher conferences today for McCaden. I am so very proud of how well he is doing in school. Especially with everything that has been happening at home.

Camden and I have been able to spend a little more time together. I came home the other night and he was so excited as he said "mom, you came home." It broke my heart to think that he would think that I wouldn't. He is a cute little stinker that lights up my day with his smile and snuggles.

Shauntelle,
I'm so glad that you are able to hold your beautiful daughter. It is amazing how their little bodies can be put through so much..and they still want to play! :) I'm holding my breath for you as you wait for results!

Your mom emailed me a picture of you holding Kaidence today. I was in a class or I would have just sobbed. It was so special to realize you had not been able to hold her in your arms for SOOOOO long. We are so happy she is doing so well - no matter what the tests say - you are having some sunshine moments. We continue to pray for good news and have faith in both of you. I'm proud of your boys too - they are being such tough little guys! Love you all,
Wendy

Shantelle,
I bet being able to hold her since it's been such a long time was like the first time you experienced holding her after her birth. So wonderful and what an amazing a blessing.
We as a family continue to keep your family, especially Kaidence in our prayers.
Hopefully sometime this weekend, I am hoping it works out so I can get to the hospital to visit.
Hugs,

What a wonderful day that was for you. Kaidence and all of you have been a source of strength to all of us. I just melted when I looked at the pictures that your mom sent to me. That look in her eye was saying I love you and daddy so much, and I know you will be guided to do what is best for me. She totally trust you. And I know that prayer is a very powerful thing. You can see little miracles happen every day. We continue to pray for all of you and hope that the results come back with good results.
Your mom and dad were so proud of you on Wed. night. they said that your talk to the Young Women was wonderful, and that you left a great impact on these young girls. It makes our trials worth it when we can share them with others and build their testimonies and give them strength. You are all such a great example to all of us. We love you and continue to pray for you. the Lord will guide you through the decisions that you have to make. Hang in there. You're going to make it through this. Love, Aunt Deb

Shauntelle,
I am so happy to hear that you could hold your sweet little girl. It breaks my heart when I know that they won't let you hold her. I am still torn up about not being able to hold Isaac until he was two weeks old. I pray for Kaidence and your family continually.
Yesterday I was talking to Ryan Olsen and learned he knows you also. What a small world this is. Ryan is our Elder Quorum President.
I will be anxiously awaiting some good news from you soon.
